Germination, Inception... Whatever...
So the germ of an idea, the 'inception' of it, in a manner of speaking... Where does it stem from? More importantly, why?
The thought process if often convoluted, twisted, different, illegible... And then, out pops an idea. Are you sitting on a Google? Or another wannabe? A failed actor relegated to watching his sons' school play....
There has to be drive, that much I agree with... There must be drive and with the drive must come the Passion. Money will follow, or will it? If it won't does it mean the idea itself was a failure? It depends. Depends on what you think the purpose of the exercise was.
Most of the time, we don't have a clue, now, do we? We don't know what we want, or more importantly, why we want what we don't know we want... All that exists is this felling of, 'Damn! Why?'... Why the expletive, what's the why? Who knows?
The strange part is, I truly believe that it is from this chaos that order springs... It is from this hopeless mess that passion arises, and it is from this passion that true ideas step forth...
If the worry about whether the money comes in takes over, then the idea is perhaps not worth the money after all... The idea should be worth the idea itself... Art for Art's sake, and all that... If the lack of funds kills the idea, the lack of the idea perhaps killed the funds...
Which is neither here nor there. Belief in what you believe in, that is important. Stick with it, and damn the rest. Comparison is never a good thing (Except in financial products).
